The diagnostic assessment (DA) can be necessary to determine a member’s eligibility for mental health services through insurance. Some services might include ACT, ARMHS, or IRTS.

The process entails about an hour in length session to gather information and assess someone's mental health. If found, a mental health diagnosis is given at the end or following session.
